Macbook hard drive noise

Using macbook extensively by running virtual machine for doing heavy processing on top of windows xp apparently leads to a problem: overheating that cause the hard drive to produce loud “krrrkkrrkrkrk” noise.

I googled and all I got is these links:

  1. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2354
  2. http://laptoppimp.com/laptop-review/apple-laptops/apple-fixes-macbook-hard-drive-noise/
  3. http://support.apple.com/downloads/Hard_Drive_Firmware_Update_2_0
  4. http://www.retrodata.co.uk/media/apple-seagate-flaw/

that still not explains why my hard drive is making such noise. Some of the discussions said that it probably because of dust, or overheat situation, and some relate this problem with Seagate harddisk.

Mine is Fujitsu, and I have no clue if the details below would help to clarify this problem.

So anybody know about this?

[btw i have back up-ed the data just in case the hd will be broken but hopefully not 😦 ]
